High school- Whether you’re interested in animation, illustration, video games or comics, it’s important to learn how to create a character and carry them through a sequential art form. Kelly will discuss techniques used in traditional animation that students can apply to the design and development of their characters. She can provide a single lecture, or a multi-session experience that includes individual attention to each student’s work. ($300 for a single session lecture with a Q&A portion, $300 per additional optional workshop session)
College- Kelly can drop in virtually to do an outside of class lecture or workshop, or drop by during class hours! Create a new character and/or develop an existing character (or characters). Work out the design choices, turn-arounds, and emotive capabilities of the character. Discuss acting through drawing, and gain the character design tools needed in their tool belts to move forward in their pursuit of their artistic career—including drawing through a project with consistency and personality. ($500 per workshop, 4+ hours, customizable!)
